Former Sun Devil Dustin Pedroia heads to World Series with Boston Red Sox


<p>BOSTON, Mass. - Former Arizona State Sun Devil baseball standout <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-basebl/mtt/pedroia_dustin00.html"… Pedroia</a> and the Boston Red Sox won the American League championship last night and will advance to the World Series against the Colorado Rockies.</p><separator></separator><p>Pedroia, three years removed from his outstanding career at ASU, was an integral part of the Red Sox success in must-win games six and seven. The AL Rookie of the Year favorite will face off against the Colorado Rockies and Matt Holliday, whose brother Josh is an Assistant Coach at ASU.</p><separator></separator><p>Pedroia&#39;s appearance in the Fall Classic will mark the 19th time a Sun Devil will play in the World Series, and first since Barry Bonds and the San Francisco Giants in 2002.</p><separator></separator><p>The 2007 World Series begins October 24 at Fenway Park, with game two on October 25. Games three through five will be Oct. 27-29 at Coors Field in Denver, with games six and seven back at Fenway on Oct. 31 and Nov. 1 if necessary.</p>
