Financial wellness: the importance of an annual checkup

In 2013, the S&P 500 was up 29.6 percent and savvy investors increased their investment portfolios as much as 35 percent for the year. How did your retirement portfolio do last year? Did you know that our retirement plan investment providers offer free one-on-one consultations that can help you make the most of your investments?

If you want to learn more about how you can become more financially savvy and learn why it is important to review your investments annually, attend one of the 2014 Financial Education Days that will be held on all four ASU campuses later this month.

In addition to a keynote speech from a representative of one of our four investment providers – Fidelity Investments, Nationwide Retirement Solutions, TIAA-CREF or VALIC – each campus will have a full day of educational investment sessions to help you improve your financial wellness. During the day, attendees may also schedule a personal consultation with a retirement plan investment provider.

Make plans to join us for the day or part of the day. Registration is highly recommended. If there is low registration, the sessions may be cancelled. The 2014 Financial Education Days are presented by the Benefits Design & Management unit within the Office of Human Resources.
