Employees honored at Sun Devil Service Award Luncheon

ASU faculty and staff celebrating 25, 30, 35, 40 and 45-year anniversaries and those retiring with 25 or more years of continuous service to ASU were recognized at the Sun Devil Service Award Luncheon April 20. This special universitywide celebration is managed by the Office of Human Resources and hosted by the Office of the President.

45 years of service

• Joseph Palais, School of Electrical, Computer and Energy Engineering.

• George Pettit, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.

40 years of service

• Michael Berch, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.

• Carl Cross, ASU Libraries Bibliographic and Metadata Services.

• Jerry Kingston, W. P. Carey School of Business Economics.

• Muriel Magenta, Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts School of Art.

• Robert Marzke, Department Of Physics.

• Doug Moore, School of Mathematical & Statistical Sciences.

• Milton Schroeder, Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law.

• Robert Strom, Mary Lou Fulton Institute and Graduate School of Education, Division of Advanced Studies in Learning, Technology, and Psychology in Education.

Employees retiring with more than 40 years of service included:

• Christine Marin, 43 years, University Libraries, Department of Archives & Special Collections.

• Reyes Holguin, 41 years, Facilities Management, Ground Services.
   
The Sun Devil Award for Service recognizes employee service to ASU in 5-year increments of employment and is one component of the University Employee Recognition Program.
