Eight gym devils named All-Academic
<p>The Arizona State Women's gymnastics had eight student-athletes named to the Pacific-10 All-Academic Team. The Sun Devils had five on the first-team, two on the second-team with one athlete additionally named honorable mention.</p><separator></separator><p>Seniors <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/atkinson_mary00.html">Mary Atkinson</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/schuett_brittany00.html">… Schuett</a>, juniors <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/palafox_kahoku00.html">Ka… Palafox</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/price_callie00.html">Call… Price</a> and sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/rew_amelia00.html">Amelia Rew</a> were each selected to be first-team. Schuett, a floor specialist for the Sun Devils, earned first-team honors for the third time of her career with a 4.03 grade point average as a double major in Speech and Hearing Science and psychology. This is Atkinson's second year in a row to be selected for first-team with a 3.72 GPA majoring in Bioscience. Palafox is majoring in sustainability while maintaining a 3.69 GPA, earning honors for the second time in her career. Price earned honors for the first time in her career while she studies Kinesiology maintaining a GPA of 3.65. Rew is a student-athlete majoring in bioscience. She earned honors for the first time with a GPA of 3.89.</p><separator></separator><p>Junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/davies_amanda00.html">Ama… Davies</a> and sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-gym/mtt/johnson_nicole00.html">Ni… Johnson</a> each earned second-team honors.
