Doctoral students showcase works at fair
Thirty-four second-year participatory phase fellows in ASU's Preparing Future Faculty (PFF) program will showcase their teaching, research and service projects at the PFF Capstone Fair from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., April 27, in the Arizona Ballroom of the Memorial Union on ASU's Tempe campus.
The Capstone Fair, a poster presentation session conducted by the Division of Graduate Studies, allows visitors the opportunity to engage the doctoral students in discussions and ask questions about their experiences. The event is an opportunity for the ASU community to learn about the PFF program, as well as discover the outstanding graduate student research in an array of disciplines.
The two-year program is designed for graduate students aiming for academic careers at universities and colleges. Students learn about faculty roles in various academic settings, constructing a teaching portfolio, teaching strategies and job search techniques. Teaching, research, and service are hands-on experiential projects.
