Diving team puts two on ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Team


<p>Two Arizona State University divers have been selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District At-Large Team. All-American <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/eggers_elina00.html">Eli… Eggers</a> was named to the First-Team while <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/blaha_constantin00.html"… Blaha</a> earned Second-Team honors.</p><separator></separator><p>Eggers, who carries a 4.0 in Business, placed fourth on the 10-meter platform at the NCAA Championships this past season. She was the lone diver at the Pac-10 Championships to medal in each event as she won the platform, placed second on the 3-meter and third on the 1-meter. She was recognized as Pac-10 Newcomer of the Year for her success. Additionally, Eggers was a finalist on the platform at the 2008 Olympic Games.</p><separator></separator><p>In his first season of competition at ASU, Blaha proved to be a forced to be reckoned with. The sophomore won the 3-meter at the Pac-10 Championships and was named All-American Honorable Mention on both the 3-meter and platform. He has a grade point average of 3.69 in Business Communication.</p><separator></separator><p>Three other Sun Devils were named ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District. Juliana Murcia and Carlota Ciganda from the women's golf team were recognized as was men's golfer Knut Borsheim.</p><separator></separator><!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
