Diving represents ASU well at FINA World Championships


<p> The Arizona State diving teams were well represented at the Fina World Championships in Rome this past week. Represented by the past, present and future of ASU Diving, four Sun Devils competed for their native country in the prestigious event. ASU had more representatives competing than any other university.</p><separator></separator><p>The future of ASU diving looks bright as the highest Sun Devil finisher was incoming freshman Riley McCormick. The Canadian placed ninth on the platform, scoring 470.30 points.</p><separator></separator><p>Recent alum and Sun Devil diving great <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/benedetti_micky01.html">… Benedetti</a> made it to the final of the 3-meter. The Italian placed 12th in his hometown, scoring 415.70 points in the process.<a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/blaha_constantin00.html"… href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/blaha_constantin00.html"… Blaha</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/eggers_elina00.html">Eli… Eggers</a> also competed at the World Championships. Blaha finished 25th on the 3-meter with 361.10 points while Eggers placed 26th on platform after tallying 264.80 points. Both Blaha and Eggers sat out this past year but are expected to make an impact at the NCAA Championships this upcoming season.<!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
