Derek Glasser named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Glasser continued to show poise and leadership as he led the Sun Devil's to a third-place finish in the highly competitive NIT Tournament. On the season, Glasser is averaging 12.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game on the season.</p><separator></separator><p>Glasser helped the Sun Devils to a third-place finish at the NIT Tournament held in New York this past week. The senior point guard averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. His strong efforts almost led the Sun Devils to an upset win over #7 Duke Blue Devils, in the semi-final match up. He continued his strong play when the Sun Devils faced LSU, by exploding for a career high 24 points to lead the Sun Devils to a come from behind victory. Glasser now leads the Sun Devils into a hugh match against the University of Baylor in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.</p>
