Derek Glasser named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Men's basketball player Derek Glasser has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending December 5th. Glasser continued to show poise and leadership as he led the Sun Devil's to a third-place finish in the highly competitive NIT Tournament. On the season, Glasser is averaging 12.3 points, 5.1 assists, and 2.4 rebounds per game on the season.

Glasser helped the Sun Devils to a third-place finish at the NIT Tournament held in New York this past week. The senior point guard averaged 18.5 points, 5 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. His strong efforts almost led the Sun Devils to an upset win over #7 Duke Blue Devils, in the semi-final match up. He continued his strong play when the Sun Devils faced LSU, by exploding for a career high 24 points to lead the Sun Devils to a come from behind victory. Glasser now leads the Sun Devils into a hugh match against the University of Baylor in the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series.
