Day one of Pac-10 Championships women's swimming concludes


Day one of the women's Pac-10 Championships concluded with the Arizona State women's swimming team earning 93 points total. The Sun Devils stand in seventh place after day one.

The women competed in two events. In the 200 medley relay, the team of Jamie Martinez, Sara McDaniel, Caitlin Andrew and Jen BeckbergerLindsey Russenberger, Ashton Aubry and Katie Haron finished just shy of a "B" qualifying time with a time of 1:42.78. placed fifth overall. The team touched the wall in 1:40.50, good enough for an NCAA consideration time. The Sun Devils "B" team of Mimi Kardasevic,

The team of Jess Perazzo, Beckberger, Lindsey Brown and Christine Mauro also earned a "B" qualifying time. The team, competing together for the first time this season, placed eighth with a time of 7:16.67.

The Sun Devils will continue competition tomorrow. The Sun Devils will compete in the 500 free, 200 IM, 50 free and 200 free relay.
