Carly Kallas named to soccer buzz elite team of the week
<p> Arizona State sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-soccer/mtt/kallas_carly00.html">C… Kallas</a> was named to the Soccer Buzz Elite Team of the Week, according to an announcement by Soccer Buzz Magazine on Tuesday.</p><separator></separator><p>Kallas, who plays midfield for the Sun Devils, played in an important role in the Sun Devils' two shutout wins over the weekend against Washington (3-0 on Friday night) and Washington State (1-0 in OT on Sunday). The South Jordan, Utah, product was instrumental in helping the Sun Devils control the center of the field in both contests.</p><separator></separator><p>Kallas, who picked up her second assist of the season in Friday's win over Washington, is currently fourth on the Sun Devils in points with seven.</p><separator></separator><p>Winners of four of their last five contests, the Sun Devils return to action on Friday (7 p.m. PT) when they travel to Eugene, Ore., to take on the Oregon Ducks.</p>
