Carlota Ciganda named ASU Female Athlete of the Week

<p> Women's golfer <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… Ciganda</a> has been named ASU's Female Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 24th. Ciganda's spectacular performance throughout the tournament helped the Sun Devils beat multiple elite teams, as the Sun Devils continue their strong play as they head to the Country Club of Landfall in Wilmington, N.C., which is the site of the 2010 NCAA Championships.<a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-golf/mtt/ciganda_carlota00.html">… Ciganda</a> led the No. 1 women's golf team to their second tournament title of the season. The sophomore All-American fired a 5-under 208 (67-70-71) to finish runner-up at the Stanford Intercollegiate. This is the sixth time Ciganda has finished in the top five in her short career. Due in part to Ciganda's steady play, the Sun Devils won the tournament by four shots over UCLA.</p>
