Canadian Open field highlights Sun Devil golf


<p> As the PGA's Canadian Opens begins today, there are nine Sun Devils teeing off in the 93-man field, including seven who played under current ASU head coach <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/lein_randy00.html">Randy Lein</a>, who will enter his 17th season at ASU in 2008-2009.</p><separator></separator><p>The list includes 2003 NCAA champion and four-time All-American <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/canizares_alejandro00.ht… Canizares</a> (2003-2006), 1993 NCAA champion and four-time All-American Todd Demsey (1992-1995), two-time All-American Dan Forsman (1980-81), two-time All-American <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/jones_matt00.html">Matt Jones</a> (2000-01), four-time All-American Billy Mayfair (1985-88), Jin Park (who played on three straight Pac-10 championship teams from 1998-2000 and earned Pac-10 honorable mention honors in 2001), Pat Perez (a key member of the 1996 NCAA Championship team), 2000 U.S. Amateur champion and three-time All-American <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/quinney_jeff00.html">Jeff Quinney</a> and 2001 Public Links champion <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/reavie_chez00.html">Chez Reavie</a> (also a three-time All-American).</p><separator></separator><p>All but Forsman and Mayfair played under <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-golf/mtt/lein_randy00.html">Randy Lein</a>.</p>
