ASU women's basketball ranked in preseason coaches' poll


<p>The Arizona State women's basketball team is ranked No. 18 in the country, according to the ESPN/USA Today Top 25 coaches' preseason poll released Wednesday.</p><separator></separator><p>The 2008-09 Sun Devils return 11 players, including three starters - senior guard <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/january_briann00.html"… January</a> and senior posts <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/dosty_sybil00.html">Sy… Dosty</a> and <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-baskbl/mtt/lacey_lauren01.html">L… Lacey</a> - and several other significant contributors from last year's team which advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth consecutive season.</p><separator></separator><p>The Sun Devils, who were ranked 17th in the Associated Press' preseason poll released last week, will make their debut tonight when they host the Houston Jaguars in an exhibition contest at 6:30 p.m. in Wells Fargo Arena. The game will be free to the public and will feature a Select-a Seat promotion. Great season tickets are still available for the 17-game home stand. ASU ticket office personnel will be on hand to assist fans with purchasing season tickets for the 2008-09 season.</p><separator></separator><p>ASU officially opens its regular season on Friday, November 14 when it hosts Cleveland State in the first round of the 2008 Preseason WNIT.<!-- STORY AD BEGINS HERE --></p>
