ASU sends three divers to nationals on day one of Zone E


<p>The Arizona State men's and women's diving team punched three divers' tickets to nationals on the first day of competition at the Zone E Championships hosted by Air Force in Minneapolis, Minnesota.&nbsp;</p><separator></separator><p>For the second-consecutive year, sophomore <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/mccormick_riley00.html">… McCormick</a> took home the top spot in the men's 1-meter spring board with a score of 762.50. With his first-place finish McCormick qualifies to compete at the NCAA National Championships.</p><separator></separator><p>Also qualifying for the NCAA Championships is junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/bradshaw_cameron00.html"… Bradshaw</a>. Bradshaw, who placed eighth last season in the event, finished in third place in the 1-meter spring board to earn the 7th NCAA qualifier position overall.</p><separator></separator><p>Rounding out the Sun Devil qualifiers for the first day is junior <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/c-swim/mtt/eggers_elina00.html">Eli… Eggers</a>. Eggers finished second overall in the women's 3-meter springboard to earn a spot at Nationals. &nbsp;The All-American scored 631.10 in the finals just eight-tenths of a point off of first-place finisher Victoria Ishimatsu of USC.</p><separator></separator><p>The second day of the Zone E Championships continues tomorrow at the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center.</p>
