ASU holds pat during second round in Tucson


The Arizona State Men's golf team is in fifth place after the second round of the National Invitational Tournament in Tucson. The Sun Devils sit at seven over par with a two-day total of 583 (290-293). TCU maintains the team lead (275-290=565) and has three players in the top ten. With the course playing tough, Sam Houston State was the only team in the second round to shoot an under par score. Freshman Jesper Kennegard leads the Sun Devils after two rounds and is tied for 16th with an even par 144 (70-74).

Freshman Cameron Edens is tied for 22nd 2-over 146 (74-72), sophomore Knut Borsheim is also tied for 22nd at 2-over (71-75), and freshman James Byrne is tied for 38th with a 4-over148 (75-73). Freshman Stephen Gross rounds out the ASU lineup tied for 44th and a 5-over 149 (75-74).
