ASU football signs 14 players to letters of intent

Arizona State University has signed 14 student-athletes to national letters of intent Wednesday to study and participate in football, head coach Dennis Erickson announced.

Coach Erickson's fifth signing class at ASU provides the Sun Devils with excellent talent on offense, defense and special teams and includes players from the states of Arizona, California, Colorado and Florida.

The class consists of 12 freshmen, one sophomore and one junior.

ASU's Class of 2011 includes:

• Two quarterbacks ranked in the nation's top-10 (Mike Bercovici, No. 7 by PrepStar, Michael Eubank, No. 8 dual-threat quarterback by Rivals.com)
• Five Arizona natives, including the state's top wide receiver (Gary Chambers), top linebacker (Isreal Marshall), second-ranked defensive lineman (Mo Latu), and the nation's top-rated junior college punter (Josh Hubner).
• Three players ranked in the nation's top-10 at their position (Mo Latu, No. 2 center by Rivals.com; Bercovici, No. 7 quarterback by PrepStar; Michael Eubank, No. 8 dual-threat quarterback by Rivals.com).
• Seven defensive players, six offensive players and one special teams player.
• Six offensive and defensive linemen.
