ASU Cares Day spreads Sun Devil spirit nationwide

March 27, 2009

Nearly 100 ASU alumni, staff, faculty and supporters participated in ASU Cares Day community-services events in 15 cities across the United States on March 21.

Members of the Alumni Association’s Colorado alumni chapter assisted the Smith Renaissance School for the Arts in Denver with painting, cleaning and trimming projects on the school’s grounds.

Closer to home, alumni, university employees and their family and friends participated in a clean-up of Hayden Butte, ASU’s beloved “A” Mountain. Here, 4-year-old Presley Symington assists her parents, Maria and Bill Symington, in removing trash from the hiking trail up the butte.
