Anthony Robles named ASU Male Athlete of the Week

Wrestler <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/m-wrestl/mtt/robles_anthony00.html"… Robles</a> has been named ASU's Male Athlete of the Week for the week ending Jan. 23. Robles continued his ways with three victories at the Lone Star Duals, to push his record to 20-2 on the year. Robles and the Sun Devils will head back to the mats on Friday, January 22nd as they host the Nebraska Cornhuskers.<separator></separator>Ranked #3 nationally at 125 pounds, Robles went a perfect 3-0 at the Lone Star Duals on Saturday and was selected as the Outstanding Wrestler of the event as he dominated all three opponents. Robles needed little time for his first two wins on the day as he pinned Steven Keith of Harvard in 1:47 and then stuck Air Force's Andrew Zwirlein in 2:00. In his final match of the day, Robles won a 10-2 major decision against No. 15 Ben Kjar of Utah Valley to push his record to 20-2 on the year and 11-0 in duals. His wins started the team on its way to victory in all three duals with wins of 39-12 over Harvard, 38-6 over Air Force and 27-15 over Utah Valley, which marked the 475th win all-time in ASU wrestling history.<separator></separator>
