Alumni Association seeks faculty, staff to serve as Greek mentors


<p>The ASU Alumni Association is developing a comprehensive list of all faculty and staff members who were members of Greek organizations. This list will be used to identify potential members, speakers, advisors and supporters of the Greek community at ASU, as the association works to expand its programming to current members and alumni of Greek organizations.</p><separator></separator><p>The association is seeking ASU employees who are members of Greek organizations to serve as mentors to current ASU students who are members of a fraternity or sorority. Mentors will provide advice and insight on the value of the Greek experience and how to best utilize the skills learned in post-college life. Faculty and staff members do not have to be Arizona State University graduates to be Greek mentors.</p><separator></separator><p>“We’re looking for faculty and staff members who can give valuable advice to current members of Greek organizations related to the skills they learned while members of their Greek organizations and the time they have spent here as an ASU employee,” explained Jennifer Holsman, executive director of operations at the ASU Alumni Association. “The mentors also may be asked to serve as volunteer alumni liaisons at our Greek events,” she said.</p><separator></separator><p>Additionally, the Alumni Association is looking for faculty and staff members who would like to serve as advisors to Greek organizations that are participating in the association’s Greek alumni chapter.</p><separator></separator><p>Employees interested in serving with the Greek alumni chapter should e-mail Jennifer Holsman at <a href="mailto:jholsman@asu.edu&quot; target="_blank">jholsman@asu.edu</a> with their contact information and Greek affiliation.</p>
