Abdala to play for ITA West Region Singles Championship


<p>SAN DIEGO, Calif. - <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/abdala_nadia00.html">N… Abdala</a> stepped up again on Sunday as she entered the semifinal round of the 2007 ITA West Region Championships, where she topped the tournament&#39;s No. 10 seed, USC&#39;s Amanda Fink in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 to advance to the finals. Abdala will face the tournament&#39;s No. 9 seed, UNLV&#39;s Elena Gantcheva tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. at San Diego State University.</p><separator></separator><p>In other action <a href="http://thesundevils.cstv.com/sports/w-tennis/mtt/abdala_nadia00.html">N… Abdala</a> paired up with sister Laila to enter the doubles semifinal round where they topped the No. 1 seed, UCLA&#39;s 1 Zalameda/Schnack duo to advance to the finals.
