Freshman Sianna Simmons also came to play on Thursday as she locked up against the 16-seed, Katy Williams of UNLV in the round of 64, who she made quick work of with a decisive 6-3, 6-2 straight sets win as well. Simmons will face tenth-seeded Hannah Grady of Long Beach State at high noon tomorrow.

Laila Abdala also entered the bracket ranked 17th, but was unable to advance past the round of 64 as she fell in a tough three-set loss to Arizona's Sarah Landsman, 6-7, 6-4, 6-4.

Two doubles teams will also see the round of 32 tomorrow as the one-seed, Nadia and Laila Abdala and two-seed Kelcy McKenna and Micaela Hein saw a bye today and will kick-off action tomorrow at 8:30 a.m.
