Nursing students study abroad photos win in photography content

Congratulations to Arizona State University College of Nursing and Health Innovation students Todd Ebner and Jessica Cassano for their award-winning photos from 2017’s study abroad trip to Peru. 

Every year, the Study Abroad Office holds a university-wide “Sun Devils Go Global” photography contest. Students who studied abroad are invited to enter photos into various categories and for an overall grand prize. 

The two nursing students submitted photos that ended up winning four awards, including the 1st place grand prize!

Todd Ebner, a senior nursing major, was awarded the grand prize (first place overall categories) with a breathtaking photo of Machu Picchu. He was also given 1st place in the “International Places” category with an impressive photo of the milky way over a church in the village of Umasbamba.

Jessica Cassano, a sophomore nursing major, was awarded 1st and 2nd place in the “My Study Abroad” category with a picture of her in the Plaza de Armas in Lima and a picture of her carrying feed for the guinea pigs in our host village of Umasbamba.
