Sean Maness

Sean Maness is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate in the Arizona State University Herberger Institute School of Music. In March 2010, Maness was selected for this summer's National Repertory Orchestra in Breckenridge, Colorado. He was one of four trumpeters selected from a national audition, which took place at the top music schools and conservatories in more than 15 cities throughout the United States. The orchestra presents three programs per week during its eight-week season.

Maness also recently won the Principal Trumpet position of the Hyogo Performing Arts Center Orchestra in Nishinomiya, Japan, and his appointment was announced in April by the orchestra. Sean was selected from worldwide auditions in Nishinomiya, Toyko, Chicago, New York, London and Berlin. He is one of five musicians joining the orchestra in September.
