Ayisha Moss

Ayisha Moss, a Doctor of Musical Arts in performance student and violinist, will be a young artist participant this summer at the InterHarmony International Music Festival in Sulzbach-Rosenberg, Germany. She will play in chamber music, solo and orchestral concerts, as well as master classes.

Moss was also accepted into the Summer Prague Academy and will perform chamber music concerts in various castles in the Czech Republic. "“I think that one of the most exciting venues is a castle called Zámek Nový Světlov on the border with Slovakia,”" Moss says.

Moss’' summer will conclude in Panama City, Panama, working with the Fundación Danilo Pérez. Originally geared toward jazz, the foundation provides musical education, opportunities and scholarships to children and young adults throughout Panama. “"A classical program was added to the yearly Jazz Festival five years ago in hopes of bringing a sense of unity between the two genres,”" says Moss. “"This year, the number of string students enrolled in the Jazz Festival reached such outstanding numbers that I was asked to create a festival specifically for strings — the first ever of its kind in the country.”

"“It has been such a joy to watch the students grow over the last five years both as musicians and human beings,”" says Moss.
