Danielle Foushee
Danielle Foushée, assistant professor in The Design School, was selected as one of 17 recipients of the 2017 artist research and development grants from the Arizona Commission on the Arts. She was awarded $4,500 to develop methodology for customizing and self-illuminating resin structures.
The materials developed will be used to build scale models of possible shade shelter designs for public places. She will use these prototypes to apply for additional funding and full-scale commissions in the future.
