ASU Bands take over the Gammage Auditorium stage in annual Pass in Review

This "gang-buster" annual concert features music performed by several of the ASU Bands, finishing with the Sun Devil Marching Band!! Do you like variety? Then this is a "don't miss" concert!

Pass in Review is at 7:30 p.m. on (Thursday) Dec. 5 in Gammage Auditorium. Admission is $6 per person. Buy tickets at the door or in advance from the Gammage Box Office, 480-965-3434.

The first half of the concert is filled with performances by the Herberger College School of Music’s four formal band ensembles: Concert Band, Chamber Winds, Wind Ensemble and Wind Symphony. Selections will include Courtly Airs and Dances by Scottsdale composer Ron Nelson, Jan Van der Roost’s Puszta: Gypsy Dances, Arthur Bird’s Serenade for Wind Instruments, Op. 40, “Overture” to Candide by Leonard Bernstein, Frank Ticheli’s “Shenandoah,” H. Owen Reeds’ “Missouri Shindig,” Partita in F major, Op. 47, by Franz Krommer, “Tango” by Michael Gandolfi and Henry Fillmore’s “The Circus Bee.” 

The Sun Devil Marching Band under the direction of associate director of bands Martin Province takes the Gammage stage during the second half of the concert for music performed during Fall Semester at football games and competitions. The band will be joined by other half-time favorite performers: Percussion Line, Flag Line, Dance Line and the Drum Majors.
