ASU School of Music alum conducts all-state orchestra

ASU alumnus Mark Jelinek, professor of music at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania, conducted the All-State Orchestra at the 2012 Pennsylvania All-State Festival April 20, 2012.

Jelinek, who received a doctor of musical arts from ASU, teaches cello and bass at Bloomsburg University where he has conducted the Bloomsburg University-Community Orchestra for 26 years and the Bloomsburg University Chamber Orchestra for 18 years. Jelinek has also returned to his hometown of Hobbs, N.N., and conducted the Southwest Symphony for the past 18 seasons.
