The Arizona State volleyball team (3-2) split its opening matches of the Hawkeye Classic, outlasting Butler (2-4) in five sets (25-16, 19-25, 25-20, 22-25, 15-8) before falling to host Iowa (5-0) in three (25-27, 20-25, 18-25) on Friday at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
