MainStage Season continues its exploration of science and mystery with AM:I

What
Explore the inner life of entities created by a computer programmer in AM:I, Dec. 2–6. The play centers around three artificial life forms that decide they want to break free from their computerized world and the programmer who created them. AM:I is written by Daniel Frey, an MFA candidate in the School of Theatre and Film and directed by fellow student Kyle Lewis. The play was work shopped on the Tempe campus last spring, which is part of an important process in developing a new work for its ultimate production on stage.

AM:I is the first, full New Works Series production in the School of Theatre and Film’s 2009–10 MainStage Season of Science and Mystery. This year’s New Works Series is designed to highlight promising new material by both resident and invited artists, which extends across the season and includes performances of Dreaming Darwin and Interrobang in spring 2010.
