What
On Nov. 13, the public can experience Western Door/Power Trail, a collaborative performance piece by Karen Schupp, ASU School of Dance senior lecturer and choreographer/performer, and Todd Ingalls, ASU School of Arts, Media and Engineering associate research professor, and interactive media composer.
The performance work at Arizona Falls in Phoenix traces issues of sustainability and water rights in relationship to ideas about power and relocation. Through exploring and embodying, these ideas – using visceral choreographic images, rich movement sequences, evocative sound, and visual environments – emerge anew in each improvised and interactive performance.
The development of this work was made possible through an Artist Project Grant awarded by the Arizona Commission on the Arts with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts and the state of Arizona.
