Daniela Borgialli and her dance partner, Rommel Oramas, won second place in the salon category in the recent USA Argentine Tango Championship in San Francisco.

Borgialli, an ASU alumnae, teaches Argentine Tango as a faculty associate in the ASU School of Dance in the Herberger Institute. Borgialli and Oramas were one of 26 couples participating in the salon category in the National Tango Championship.

A dancer, Borgialli began dancing the Argentine Tango 14 years ago. She and Oramas began dancing together six years ago. “Training for the competition has been rigorous and challenging,” said Borgialli. The couple is now focused on competing in the World Championships in Buenos Aires in August.
