A touch of the exotic in Bali-themed exhibition
What: Exhibits from Bali, an exhibition featuring work by students who traveled to Bali last summer as part of ASU's summer travel program.
Where: Step Gallery, located in ASU's Tempe Center complex, southeast corner of Mill Avenue and University Drive (gallery faces University Drive.)
Who: A group of undergraduate students from the Herberger College School of Art who traveled to Bali last summer. The exhibition includes work by Bonnie Beveridge, Jack Buchholz, Jenn Hicks, Erica Hunt, Dan Jackson, Anastasia Lee, Amanda Petran, Liz Pierson, Jillian Stein, Tracy Snelling, Dawn Stressman and Sheridan Toscano.
When: April 1-5, 2002.
Opening Reception: 7-9 p.m., April 1.
Hours: Monday through Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. and Friday from noon to 3 p.m.
Cost: Always Free
About the Exhibition: Exhibits from Bali features works by a group of undergraduate students from ASU's Herberger College School of Art who took a summer session art course on the South Pacific island of Bali. Here the students present the results of their research and artistic efforts. Photography, batiks, oil paintings, watercolors and other types of artwork inspired by the experience and created while in Bali will be showcased in Exhibits from Bali. The public is invited to meet the artists at an opening reception on April 1 at 7 p.m.
