About the Exhibition: David Solnick, a senior in the Herberger College School of Art, showcases his varied works in ceramics, multi-media, woodcarving and oil painting in this solo exhibition at the Step Gallery.

With a background in printmaking and ceramics, and a love for many artistic disciplines, Solnick says he has found his niche in the multi-media program. Among the pieces in his exhibition are a series of multi-media collages incorporating various found objects and another series of shadow-box-like collages that utilize the artist’s photography skills. Solnick’s ceramic training is also evident in a number of pieces in the exhibition. Visitors can view a self-portrait bust, mask and several abstract pieces. Carved wooden masks, a handmade coffee table and a band saw box are also included in this diverse exhibition.
