Powerful, disturbing and beautiful images comprise photographic exhibition
Powerful photographs of children, old men and police officers making arrests along the Van Buren corridor are among the images that will be on view when Herberger College School of Art student David E. Lukens opens his self-titled exhibition at ASU’s Step Gallery on May 5. The exhibition runs through May 9 and a free public reception is scheduled for 7-9 p.m., May 5.
Lukens’ exhibition is a beautiful, fascinating and sometimes disturbing combination of black & white and color images that vary from conceptual to journalistic and documentary photography.
The Step Gallery is Located in Tempe Center at the west end of ASU’s main campus, Tempe. (Southeast corner of Mill and University.) Admission is free. Gallery Hours are Monday through Thursday from noon to 5 p.m. and Friday from noon to 3 p.m. For more information, members of the public should call (480) 965-6163.
