ASU’s Herberger College art faculty show new work at the ASU Art Museum

TEMPE, Ariz. - Recent works created by the faculty of ASU's Herberger College School of Art will be exhibited in the annual Art Faculty Exhibition at the ASU Art Museum, Feb. 26 - April 30. A public reception will be held Feb. 25, 7-9 p.m.

The bi-annual show is a unique opportunity to see the respected talents of Herberger College art faculty who have helped the School of Art achieve high national rankings, according to U.S. News and World Report. The school's master of fine arts program is ranked 13 th , ceramics is ranked 14 th , photography is fifth and printmaking is third.

This year's exhibition features works by more than 25 art faculty in media as diverse as painting, photography, printmaking, drawing, sculpture, intermedia, fiber and ceramics; as well as research by art history and art education professors.

Participating in this year's exhibition are Lewis Alquist, Daniel R. Britton, Julie Codell, Daniel Collins, Tom Eckert, Mary Erickson, Denis Gillingwater, J. Eugene Grigsby, Jr. James Hajicek, Jules Heller, Mary Hood , William Jenkins, Stephen Marc, Kathryn Maxwell, Beverly McIver, Ellen Murray Meissinger, Mary Bates Neubauer, Mark Newport, James Pile, Janice M. Pittsley, Betsy Schneider, Randall Schmidt, Jerry Schutte, Gray Sweeney, Clare Verstegen, James R. White, and Diane Wolfthal.

The ASU Art Museum, named "the single most impressive venue for contemporary art in Arizona" by Art in America , is part of the Herberger College of Fine Arts at Arizona State University. The museum is located on the southeast corner of Mill Avenue and 10 th Street in Tempe and entry is free. Hours are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday and until 9 p.m. Tuesdays during the academic year.
