2nd annual ceramics studio tour
TEMPE, Ariz. - Love ceramics? Then the second annual self-guided Ceramic Studio Tour, sponsored by the Artists' Advisory Committee at the ASU Art Museum's Ceramics Research Center, is for you!
The valley-wide open studio event includes 10 studios in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Mesa, and will take place 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., March 1. Participating studios will include those of established Valley ceramists as well as ceramics students at ASU's Herberger College of Fine Arts and Paradise Valley Community College. Visitors can purchase work at each studio and enjoy scheduled demonstrations of various ceramic skills at certain locations.

In addition to the self guided option, ASU Art Museum will provide two day-long guided bus tour options - one covering East Valley studios, the other West Valley studios. Peter Held and Heather Lineberry - ASU Art Museum curators who specialize in ceramics - will each lead a tour. Tours run 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. and cost $80 per person. Cost includes breakfast, lunch and transportation to five studios. There will also be special studio demonstrations provided exlusively for these tour groups.
