Sverchek's Late Goal Lifts ASU Water Polo Over Shanghai

Katie Sverchek scored the game-winning goal on the power play with 11 seconds left and the Arizona State University water polo team defeated the Shanghai Water Polo Club, 7-6, in the first of a five-game exhibition series against the Chinese club team on Friday evening at the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center.</p>
